Building a Culture That Scales

Every strong college has at least one pocket of excellence – a program that reviews its numbers every week, catches problems early, and adjusts without drama

The problem is almost never a lack of good practice somewhere in the building. It’s that the practice stays exactly where it started – it doesn’t survive the person who built it leaving, a new priority landing on the cabinet’s desk, or the natural fatigue that sets in once the first few wins stop feeling new.

The goal isn't another dashboard. It's an operating rhythm that keeps running whether or not the person who started it is still in the room.
This session focuses on what it actually takes to turn one team’s good habit into the institution’s normal way of operating – building shared definitions departments trust, making performance data usable beyond analysts, and structuring a review rhythm light enough to survive turnover and a leaner budget than anyone would like.

What You'll Learn

See how colleges build shared definitions so departments stop debating whose numbers are correct and start acting on the same reality.

Learn how leaders turn dashboards into actual decisions, not just another report that gets opened once and forgotten.

Explore how colleges make performance data usable for frontline staff, not only analysts and cabinet-level leaders.

Understand how a review rhythm is built light enough to survive staff turnover and competing priorities instead of collapsing the first time capacity gets tight.

Hear how colleges confirm an operating rhythm actually held a year or two later, not just during the initial rollout when energy was highest.
