ZogoTech's Student Engagement:

Seeing the student is the easy part. Acting on all of them isn't.

Your student data is already in one place. Student Navigator turns it into action: filter your whole college down to exactly who needs you – from a click to complex logic, no query language – then reach them and prove what worked.

Real colleges. Real numbers. Sooner than you'd expect.

20 year high in student success rates at Grayson College.
9 point increase in retention rates at Oakton College.
6 semesters of record enrollment at Johnston Community College.

The right students are in your data. Reaching them shouldn't be this hard.

A profile solves seeing one student. It doesn’t solve finding – and acting on – the exact group that needs you.

Find any group of students - without knowing a query language.

Finding a group is the most common thing advisors and IR do – right before running a report on them or reaching out. Student Engagement lets any advisor build that group, from a one-click search to the most complex logic, with a few clicks.

Student Navigator · 118 selected

Everything your team needs to support a student - up-to-date and in one place.

Before you can act on a group, you have to trust what you’re looking at. Student Engagement pulls every system into one profile – the whole student, on one screen – and feeds it straight into Student Navigator.

  • The whole record, one screen. Academics, credits, GPA, aid, holds, placement, and demographics - no bouncing between a dozen SIS screens mid-conversation.
  • Research-based alerts, flagged for you. At-risk indicators from Noel-Levitz and student-success research - plus the ones your campus defines, like “has one course but not another.”
  • Every contact, one shared history. Notes and outreach from advising, coaching, faculty, and support live together - so whoever talks to a student next sees what already happened.
  • Your systems, connected. LMS engagement, tutoring visits, placement, and financial aid flow in automatically - no manual stitching.
  • The whole journey, via the Clearinghouse. See where a student transferred from, transferred to, or is enrolled at the same time.

And all of it feeds Student Navigator - so when you build a group, you're not acting on a list of names. You're acting on the full picture.

Frequently Asked Questions

Student Engagement, answered.

What is ZogoTech Student Engagement?
ZogoTech Student Engagement brings all of your student data into one place and turns it into action. At its center is Student Navigator, which lets any staff member find exactly the group of students who need attention, reach them, and track what worked - so the right students get support before they slip away. It moves a college from seeing students to acting on their needs at scale.
How is it different from an early-alert or student-success system?
Many student-success tools wait for a faculty member to raise a flag, then route that single alert to an advisor. Student Engagement starts from your data instead: any advisor can build a group - for example, students who passed the first course in a sequence but have not registered for the next - reach them, and measure whether the outreach changed the outcome. You are not limited to the alerts someone remembers to submit; you can find any group you can describe.
Do our advisors need to know SQL or wait on institutional research to find students?
No. Advisors build the group themselves by clicking filters, with no query language and no report request sitting in an IR queue. Combining conditions with AND, OR, and NOT is done with toggles, so work that used to require a data request now takes a few clicks.
Once we find a group of students, what can we actually do?
You can act on the whole group at once - send an email, add a batch contact note, export a list for your texting or calling system, or ask the National Student Clearinghouse where students have gone. Every contact is logged in one shared record, and you can compare the group you reached to similar students you did not, so you can see whether the outreach actually moved the outcome.
How does it help us identify at-risk students earlier?
Student Engagement flags students automatically using research-based indicators, plus the conditions your own campus defines - for example, a student enrolled in one course but not the one that should come next. Because those signals are drawn from all of your systems and refreshed continually, your team sees who needs attention early, rather than after a student has already stopped attending.
Does it give a complete picture of each student?
Yes. Each student has a one-screen profile that brings together academics, credits, GPA, financial aid, holds, placement, and demographics, along with the alerts on that student and every contact from across the college. Instead of opening a dozen screens mid-conversation, an advisor sees the whole student - and everything that profile contains also feeds the groups you build in Student Navigator.
Can advising, coaching, and faculty see each other's outreach?
Yes. Notes and outreach from advising, success coaching, faculty, and support services live in one shared history on the student's record. Whoever talks to a student next can see what already happened, so outreach is coordinated rather than duplicated or contradictory.
Who is it built for?
Community colleges, and the people across them who support students: advisors, success coaches, retention and completion teams, faculty, and institutional research. Because ZogoTech is built for the community college context, the alerts, groups, and metrics reflect how two-year students actually move through college.
What results have community colleges seen?
Colleges use Student Engagement to reach the right students sooner and keep more of them enrolled. Grayson College reached a 22-year high in term-to-term retention, Central Arizona College increased persistence by 12%, and Johnston Community College re-enrolled 24% more stop-out students - by acting on students their data had already identified.

The time that we have is extremely precious. We are able identify characteristics about our students using the navigator tools and its comprehensive components that we weren't maybe historically and we were missing on students.

We use data every day to guide decision-making, personalize outreach, and improve the student experience… It allows us to target and personalize messaging at scale – ensuring students receive information that’s relevant to their goals, progress, and current situation.

We use data in many ways, such as viewing a student’s schedule who comes into the Welcome Center, to better understand their course history and academic standing, to know what other institutions (if any) they may have attended prior, and to know what challenges they may have faced in the past, including but not limited to, poor academic standing, student accessibility needs, mental health challenges, etc.

ZogoTech is essential in my role because it allows me to quickly filter and identify students based on key criteria – such as current enrollment, TRIO SSS eligibility, first-generation or low-income status, and proximity to graduation. I can view class schedules and grades at a glance, and the platform helps me check program eligibility, balances, and other critical information through the Advisors tab.

We look at term-to-term retention. We’ll take a look at the students enrolled in the fall semester. If they’re not enrolled in the spring, we’ll send a link in a text message. We see huge peaks in appointments coming in, and it has increased our term-to-term retention... We don’t have to wait till the end of the semester when grades are posted.

ZogoTech significantly streamlines my ability to analyze and interpret various data related to student performance and course enrollment… This data not only helps me, but also enables my chairs and directors to build meaningful relationships with our students by understanding their degree majors and assisting them in persisting through our programs.

ZogoTech truly puts the power of data in every user’s hands. I can do anything I can imagine with this software. Whether it’s identifying at-risk students or tracking our enrollment metrics in real-time, ZogoTech makes it all possible.

By consolidating real-time information, ZogoTech streamlines advising processes and reduces time spent navigating multiple systems. This gives staff more time to engage directly with students and ensure they remain on track with their academic plans. The increased visibility into student behavior and progress supports more proactive outreach, resulting in more effective interventions and stronger retention and completion outcomes.

As faculty, I use ZogoTech to check on students of concern due to: grade drops, missing assignments, absences, email messages, etc... The information from ZogoTech provides me a better understanding of students before I talk with them so I can help them.
